YUM! YUM!
Callie was able to eat Pancakes, Oatmeal, Blueberry Muffin & Lemonade at her ST session today.
Very yummy for a little girl that has had all her food go through a tube straight to her tummy for the last month! The therapists assure us that it is "therapy". It's all about texture & stimulation, to wake up her senses!
By session #3 Callie was seeming pretty tired, but she was very interested in the activities! So much so, that she had to unwind before she would nap for the afternoon sessions!
Dad (who yesterday was encouraging a break from the feeding tube) was grateful when she fell to sleep so his constant tube vigil could rest as well. Someway, somehow while 'resting', she managed to get the tube out once again!

ReplyDeleteIt seems that the hospital staff all love Callie too! She is such a cutie & that was hilar about the tube, I'm sure that thing is very uncomfortable but she tries to listen to her mama. We pray for her healing & for yours...
